Bryony Leatherbarrow will attend a reception by HRH The Prince
of Wales at Clarence House tomorrow, Friday, to celebrate the run
up to The British Festival of the Working Horse in 2012.
Bryony's work as a business consultant for The British Horse
Loggers Association (BHL) prompted her invitation from Prince
Charles, who has recently become a patron of the organisation.
"I was amazed when a Buckingham Palace 2nd class stamped
envelope landed on my door mat," said Bryony, who works for IT firm
Jatech and is a keen horse rider herself at Barton End stables near
Nailsworth.
"I am delighted and the Jatech team have been very helpful by
stepping in to cover for me on the day.
"Now I have the fun of deciding what to wear."
Set up to promote horse logging as a sustainable industry in the
21st Century, the BHL promotes horse loggers across the UK, who can
be booked to carry out heavy timber haulage using traditional
working horses.
The British Festival of the Working Horse, set to be staged over
three days in September 2012 at London's Windsor Great Park, will
feature horses currently working in all sectors from forestry to
tourism.
