This week Jatech starts the implementation of the latest
virtualization project that we are undertaking for schools in the
Gloucestershire area. Following initial customer needs
analysis, Jatech designed the new virtual infrastructure meeting
the schools future ICT plans.
In this phase Jatech's VMware certified virtualization team will
reduce the number of physical servers in the school from 12 down to
3. The school will be managing all 12 virtual servers using
VMware's vCenter software. Electricity consumption in the
server room will be reduced by around 70% and the management of the
server infrastructure by 50%.
